Connection drops due to loose thunderbolt port

The main Thunderbolt connector on my dock is very loose and is a lot less secure than the connection to my Mac. If I move the dock the connection is lost. I am using the cable that came with the dock.

I can’t imagine the connection is meant to be so delicate and I may have received a slightly defective device.

Does anyone else have this issue? I only bought it on the 22 Feb 2021.

Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.

It sounds like there is a problem with either the dock or the cable itself since the connection is lost when moving the dock. We haven’t seen a high number of this being reported, but I can recall a few instances.

I think it will be best if we send you a pretested replacement cable and dock under warranty and see if the issue is resolved. I will reach out to you via email to request some information so we can proceed with the replacement.
