Can you take a picture of the USB-C cable and USB-C port on your computer? USB-C is, well, USB-C and the fitment should be universal unless the cable end or the port on the computer is damaged.
This may be a silly question, but are you absolutely certain you have a Surface Book 2 with USB-C? The original Surface Book lacked USB-C and is not compatible with this docking station or its included USB-C to USB-C cable.
