Connecting 2 monitors to dock for use with 27" iMac and Lenovo laptop

I have a 2017 Apple 27" iMac and a Lenovo t14s laptop. I’d like to connect 2 Dell monitors to the docking station and then connect either the iMac OR the Lenovo to the docking station to use the displays. Would the UD-3900C be appropriate for this?

The Apple computer has the following ports:

Two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports with support for:

  • DisplayPort
  • Thunderbolt (up to 40 Gbps)
  • USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps)
  • Thunderbolt 2, HDMI, DVI, and VGA supported using adapters

The Lenovo has the following ports:

  • USB-C Thunderbolt™ 4 power in
  • USB-C Thunderbolt 4
  • HDMI 2.0
  • USB-A 3.2 Gen 1
  • USB-A 3.2 Gen 1

Thank you very much

Please keep in mind that the UD-3900C dock does not charge the host laptop. You will have to connect the power adapter originally included with your laptops in order to charge the laptop while connected to the dock.

We also recommend installing the latest DisplayLink software for your iMac and Lenovo laptop to ensure best possible performance. You can learn more about the latest DisplayLink software here:
