Closing laptop without losing power

Hello,

I just got a UD-3900 dock and for the most part it’s working great. I haven’t been able to figure out how to close my laptop and use external monitors only without everything going dark. I’m using an HP Pavilion dm4 laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium and 2 Dell monitors (one in the DVI/VGA port and one in the HDMI port). Any help would be much appreciated.
