Chrome 46.0 stopped rendering on Mac 10.10.5 Yosemite via Pluggable USB2 DVI display adapter (UGA-2K-A rev B). Nothing is rendered, just a blur of stripes. Firefox and other programs work fine. Chrome works fine on the monitor connected via display port. I have tried 2 different USB2 display adapters, and both have the same problem. !](https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1292759/ScreenShot2015-10-14at1.36.52PM_inline.png?1444844262)](https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1292759/ScreenShot2015-10-14at1.36.52PM.png?1444844262)
A quick update - After the problem showed up, I updated to the latest driver (DisplayLink_OSX_2.4.dmg), but the problem still remains.
Hi Oleg,
Turn off hardware acceleration (http://www.solveyourtech.com/turn-har…) and restart Chrome. Does this make a difference?
Kind regards,

Yes, it worked. I turned off hardware acceleration, and Chrome came back to life.
Thanks!

I had the same issue today (as did a colleague) - unchecking the hardware acceleration box worked but not sure of the consequences of this for other chrome functionality so feels a little sketchy.
Hello John,
Disabling hardware acceleration in the Chrome browser does not hurt anything and is necessary for avoiding problems as mentioned above. There are no other fixes.
Kind regards,
Patric
