when i plug my card reader in (plugable usb3-flash3), removable disk F: appears then disappears in windows explorer. the instructions say no driver updates needed but i checked anyways and its up to date. i plug it into my usb 2.0 and the same thing happens.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue!
What’s likely happening here is that you either don’t have a card inserted, or the card that you have inserted is not formatted.
Was a known good card in the reader when you tried it?
