can't interchange monitor to laptop screens

Monitor 2 only has desktop image but no icons. How do I make Monitor 2 the main monitor?

Thanks for contacting Plugable Support, we’ll be happy to help. It sounds like your secondary screen is set to extend mode. You can either Mirror your desktop so the icons will be on both screens or you can extend the desktop, in which case the icons will only be on the screen that is designated as primary. You then can move windows over to the secondary screen. Here’s a link to a short video with more detail about how to do that.
