Can't get this thing to work!

Hi - I have tried this device with two brand new matching monitors and two virtually brand new laptops to no avail. I have it plugged into the USB-C port and the two monitor HDMI cables from each monitor plugged into the device. Yet no signal seems to be getting to the monitors. The first computer is a PC with Windows 10 and the other is a Chromebook and it has the same issue - no signal seems to be getting past the adapter. When i plug each monitor into the HDMI port on the computers individually, the signal goes thru and it connects fine with the monitor.

If you could provide your Amazon Order ID (or other proof of purchase) associated with your Plugable device, I would be happy to check on your warranty status as well.
