Can the Plugable USB3-SATA-UASP1 USB 3.0/2.0 SATA Lay Flat Docking Station be powered via USB3 alone?

Can it draw power from the USB3 port alone, or does the 12VDC power supply need to be plugged in to power the drive?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, however, on all of our USB3 SATA docking stations, including the UASP1, AC power is required. To be clear operating of USB bus power only is NOT supported.
