Can I use USB3 hub with multiple plugable adapters.

I have a laptop with single USB3 port. I want to buy two 2K monitors and 2 USB3-to-displayPort adapters.

Would this configuration work:

Using a single USB3 output from the laptop going through a USB3 hub and then to 2 usb3-to-display port adapters and finally to 2 monitors (2K each).
