Can I do this with a UD-3900?

Considering a UD-3900. Running Windows 8 and have two monitors w/DVI capability. Can I connect one monitor to the UD-3900 DVI output and use an HDMI to DVI cable for the other monitor? Would I be able to extend my displays properly in Windows doing this?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for asking!

Yes, our UD-3900 can connect two DVI monitors to your PC, by using an additional HDMI to DVI cable.

Please note that there is limited space left on the docking station’s surface for the video ports: hence we’d recommend an adapter cable but not a dongle one. Plugable doesn’t sell that kind of cable but many of our customers are using this without any problem:

Yes, once the two monitors are configured, those monitors are the same with directly connected monitor from Windows 8 point of view. You can set them as “extend desktop” from the Control Panel.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you needed any additional information. Thanks again for posting the question here!
