Is there any reason to use Plugable USB-C to HDMI 2.0 Adapter over Plugable USB-C to HDMI 2.0 Cable? I suspect the adapter is for having a flexibility in terms of length of used HDMI-HDMI 2.0 cable in case of large TVs or projectors. And if I use it with a monitor, it’s enough to have the cable? Is there any difference in signal stability? Why good HDMI 2.0 cable is so thick and the Plugable USB-C to HDMI 2.0 cable is so thin?
Hello, thanks for posting! Our USBC-HDMI adapter and USBC-HDMI-CABLE support the same 4K@60Hz resolution, but one allows for use of ones own HDMI 2.0 cable to meet their needs. The USBC-HDMI-CABLE is a fixed length at 6 feet.
Thank you,
David W.
