Lately, when I move the dock a little, or even bump into, all of the drives I have plugged into it post an “Eject “name” before disconnecting or turning it off” error on my M1 iMac. I have done neither of those things. What can I do to eliminate those error messages? Thank you.

It sounds like the Thunderbolt connection to the dock might be being lost momentarily when you move or touch the dock. Do only your drives disconnect, or do you lose video from the dock or other functions as well?
Does the Thunderbolt 3 cable connection to the back of the dock feel loose? If the cable is wiggled, not disturbing the dock itself, does that cause the connection to drop?

As far as I can tell, only the drives disconnect. I don’t use video, but I have an ethernet cable plugged in that goes to my iMac for the internet.
Just now, as I checked the plugins, all of the drives disconnected again.
It’s usually fine, unless I forget and touch it, or want to add another connection.
You’re most welcome. Thanks for the information! I believe that it may be best for us to try replacing the dock under warranty to see if that helps. Based on the information you’ve provided I’m quite suspicious of some kind of loose connection somewhere.
