Bluetooth keyboard and mouse not working after computer comes out of sleep mode.

I have the Plugable USB 2.0 Bluetooth adapter. I am using the new Bluetooth Microsoft Surface Ergonomic keyboard and mouse. On occasion when the computer comes out of sleep mode, the keyboard and mouse fail to work. I can fix by restarting computer or sometimes if I unplug and then replug the USB Bluetooth adapter back in… that can work. I would rather have it work all the time. I figure there is probably a device conflict but I am not sure what.

See picture for devices listed under Bluetooth. Do any of these need to be disabled?

Let me know. !](https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1534157/bluetoothpic_inline.png?1483935486)](https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1534157/bluetoothpic.png?1483935486)

Thank you for posting. The Bluetooth Microsoft Surface Ergonomic keyboard and mouse use Bluetooth Low Energy, and we often see the situation where Windows puts the adapter to sleep and then doesn’t wake it up later, since Bluetooth Low Energy devices don’t maintain a constant connection the way classic Bluetooth devices do.

Please try this:

  1. Right-click on Broadcom BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Device.
  2. Select Properties
  3. Select the Power Management tab.
  4. Remove the selection from Allow Windows to turn off this device to save power.
  5. Click OK.

This should solve the problem. If not, please let us know.

Thanks!
