When restart hp laptop attached monitor starts as blue screen, if i lift laptop lid, i see normal windows screen. I close lid and monitor is back to normal. This only occurs when laptop is restarted, not when turned on from shut down. When turned on from shutdown computer and external monitor start normally.
For the benefit of anyone who is interested:
The issue was caused by incorrect settings configured for the monitor. Configuring the right settings resolved the issue.
