Audio settings

I have “Dell Audio” on my laptop. It enables me to adjust audio output with an equalizer, a bunch of preset settings and separate treble and base controls. Changes in those settings have no effect on audio quality when my speakers are connected to the UD-3900. Is there a way to adjust audio quality using the DisplayLink software? I’ve looked but haven’t found anything.

Hi Maxwell,

Thanks for posting!

Unfortunately, software EQ programs such as Dell Audio can only function properly with the audio output device that is built into your system – not the docking station’s audio device. Additionally, I’m afraid there is no equalizer software or interface available for DisplayLink, and this is likely not a feature DisplayLink will be implementing (https://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65028).

Sorry to bear the disappointing news!

Thanks for your response. The audio quality is decent when the speakers are connected to the 3900 but it would be nice to be able to adjust it.

Sorry for the inconvenience. You may want to bring this up with DisplayLink at https://support.displaylink.com/.

I’ll be closing this thread, but if you have any further questions please feel free to contact support@plugable.com and we’ll be happy to help.

Thanks!
