Hey guys, I am currently setting up my new workstation and before I plug my computer into the dock (ud-ultcdl), I want to know if the usb charging will affect my new zenbook pro ux580ge? It does not support usb charging, and I am unconcerned about having to run a second power source to my laptop. From the vague description on the dock specifications, it should still work, just not charge via usb. I just want to confirm this before I risk my computer. Thanks.

The UD-ULTCDL does have Power Delivery capabilities, but it will only activate if the connected host system negotiates power delivery. If the system does not support this feature, then the dock will not attempt to charge. If it does support this feature, it will only output at the desired rate configured by the system.
