ASMedia 1051E vs ASM1053E Chipset

Shopping for a HDD dock, comparing the vertical and horizontal
model using chipsets ASMedia 1051E vs ASM1053E Chipset respectively. Personally HDD orientation is not a deciding factor but I am curious if the ASM1053E chipset is better than the ASM1051E chipset in any significant way?

The 1053E is a newer chipset than the 1051. It uses a bit less power, and generally has better throughput, especially when used with a UASP compliant host controller and OS (i.e; Win 8/8.1).
