4k resolutions not available

I am trying to figure out this docking station I just picked up for my new Macbook Pro M1. It says that it’s compatible with using multiple 4k monitors with display link, but when I plug the monitors into the docking station it detects them as 1080p and says low resolution for some reason for 1 monitor, but the 2nd one doesn’t even give me an option for 4k. They are both 28inch 4k monitors.

One thing that may help with this issue would be to try the new 1.5 Beta version of the DisplayLink Manager at the following link:

I installed the beta version, but it removed 4k from both displays… so now both have a maximum of 1080p displayed.

Our next step is to get some additional information.

Please keep the dock connected to your system (even though not working) and send the output of our diagnostic utility PlugDebug → http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug to us directly via support@plugable.com with ‘For Ticket 351994’ in the subject line. This will allow us match things up and examine some log files from your system to help determine the next steps.

Please also include your Amazon Order ID number for the docking station purchase in your direct email. Please do not post the Order ID or the PlugDebug file in our public forum.

There is some more information that we need to get from the original posters computer to better understand what is happening before we call this fixed.
