the 4 port hub runs hot even when there is no activity. is this normal?

The hub may be slightly warm to the touch but it should never be hot with nothing connected to it.
Is this a recent development or has your hub always been this way? Also, do all of the USB ports work OK?

I just received the product yesterday, july 1. all the ports work fine. it just gets warm/hot whether the ports are being used or not. when i insert a 3.0 flash drive, the stick also becomes warm/hot to the touch. since this is my first powered usb hub i do not know if this is standard or not
Also the hubs charging port LED is constantly blinking on and off. Is that a warning sign?
I’ll contact you directly via email. The blinking light is not normal and we’ll want to replace it. I also suggest you stop using the hub will we get you a replacement.
