Will a Dell XPS 13 9365 be able to output 4k resolution on a 4k monitor if it is connected to the Plugable TBT3 dock, even if the built-in screen on the laptop is 1080p?

To your question, yes, the Dell XPS 13 9365 system will be able to drive a 4K display connected to a Plugable Thunderbolt 3 docking station like our TBT3-UDV (https://plugable.com/products/tbt3-udv). The fact that the system has an internal 1080P display is not a limitation.
