While still using the VGA port...

Connecting an extra external monitor with the plugable while still using vga port for another external monitor, how do you set this up for Windows to extend across all three displays?

Hi sebbarfield,

Thanks for posting your question here! Windows supports up to six external monitors via USB in addition to the displays connected to the primary GPU on your system.

So you can connect one monitor via the VGA output port on your system and an additional one via one of our USB Graphics products. Once the monitors are connected, you need to set ‘Extend’ as the multiple monitor mode on Windows Display Properties.

If the OS on you system is Windows 7 and higher, the quickest way to do this is to press the Windows logo key + P and select ‘Extend’ from the four options displayed. This puts all the monitors into ‘Extend’ mode instantly.

Hope the above information helps! If you have trouble with setting the multiple monitor mode to ‘Extend’ or if the OS on the System is not Windows 7 or higher, just shoot us an email at support@plugable.com specifying the OS on your system, the amazon order ID through which our product was purchased along with a link to this thread and we will help with the next steps.

Regards,
Roze
