It’s normal/expected behavior for the monitors to flash while the DisplayLink monitors are being initialized. Generally this will only last for a few seconds, but it can vary a bit depending on the speed of the hardware in the system, the version of the DisplayLink drivers installed, and other factors.
The version of the USB drivers installed on the system can sometimes influence this behavior as well. If you’d like us to investigate if there are any driver updates that might be worth installing, please run our troubleshooting/log gathering tool at the link below, and email the .zip file it creates to support@plugable.com and we’ll be glad to have a look.
