I have a Dell Laptop with HDMI output. My monitor supports 2560x1440 through a dual link dvi connection. Is there a dock or adapter that would support this or do I have to do the following:
USB 3.0 > Displayport and then Displayport > Dual Link DVI

As I’ve replied back to your email sent us at our customer support, unfortunately any of our products will not meet your requirements.
And as far as we understand, most of the DisplayPort to DVI adapters support only up to 1080p resolution.
