Voltage and FTDI

I have two questions about the Plugable USB 2.0 10 Port Hub (with Power Adapter):

Question 1: Does the power adapter has a range that will allow it to be use on a 220V outlet?
Question 2: Does it support FTDI?

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for contacting us! The switching power adapter that comes with our Plugable 10 Port USB 2.0 Hub supports inputs of 100-240V ~ 50/60 Hz 0.5A.

If you could post back and let us know which FTDI product you are intending to use with the hub, I would be able to provide you with an appropriate answer.

Regards,
Roze

Thank you for this information! The FTDI website is located at www.ftdichip.com.
We need to use one of the three relevant versions of the USB to serial converter.

Hi Michelle,

Yes, there’s no problems with FTDI’s USB to serial converters. You’ll be able to use them with the hub – and we have many people who do this, to allow a single PC to control many serial devices.

The power adapter is always 220V compatible, but the plugs vary by geography. Buy on Amazon.com if you want US style plugs, and buy on Amazon.co.uk if you want (both) UK and EU plugs.

Thanks!
