USB2-E1000 stops working, need to reboot to solve it.

I have the USB2-E1000 network adapter plugged into my Macbook Pro running Yosemite. I bring the laptop to work, plug in the lightening cable for my monitors, the USB network adapter and open the lid. Every day, the network adapter fails to work, I have to reboot the computer to get it to work.

What can I do?

Alright, I read through some of the things on here and realised I had Android File Transfer installed. I killed the process et voila! The USB network adapter started working.
