USB ethernet adapter for Packard Bell Liberty Tab

Is there any usb ethernet adapter of dongle that will work plug & play with my Packard Bell Liberty Tab (same as Acer Iconia Tab A500, Android 3.0 Honeycomb)?

Hi Katrein,

Thanks for posting your question here! Android platforms can vary a lot, depending on what major version and what drivers the phone/device maker may have custom built into the kernel.

Currently Android 3.2 builds and higher from Google have support for our Plugable USB 2.0 to 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter USB2-E100.

So for Android builds 3.2 and higher, if the device manufacturer has left it in, the device would have support for our Plugable Fast Ethernet Adapter USB2-E100.

For prior versions of Android, it is highly unlikely that support would be there for USB Ethernet Adapters.

Could you check if your Packard Bell Liberty Tab has been auto-updated to Android build 3.2 or higher?

Since you’re the first person to ask about the Packard Bell Liberty Tab and we’d like to have a clear answer for others, here’s an idea:

If the Android build on it has been updated to 3.2 or higher, you are located in US and you’d be willing to get back to us with results, we’d be happy to send you a free Plugable Fast Ethernet Adapter USB2-E100.

Just shoot us an email at support@plugable.com with your ship-to address and phone number with a link to this thread.

Let us know if you’re interested.

Thanks!

Regards,
Roze
