Usb e-1000

Windows update on 10/31 and not Ethernet will not work and when troubleshoot, message says cable not connected. Got WiFi but would like Ethernet to work for better speed!

Thanks for reaching out to us! I do see that you’ve sent in a diagnostic to us directly. I will not discuss the results of the diagnostic here, but I will put the initial troubleshooting steps I would suggest that I am also sending via email. Are you able to try the adapter with a different computer to see if you get the same/similar result? If not, I understand. I would suggest to:

  • What I would suggest to start, is to give your network equipment a full reset.

  • Then, let’s try a different Ethernet Cable, and different Ethernet port on the networking equipment

  • Let’s also try each available USB port on the computer to see if that makes a difference.
