usb stops upon disconnect of docking station. when i disconnect plugable ud-3900, all usb ports on laptop stop working until after reboot. Laptop is ASUS, Windows 8.1 with USB 3.0 ports

Very unusual issue - curious to help get to the bottom of it.
A good place to start will be having a look at some system logs. We have a log-gathering tool that will help simplify this process - please download our log-gathering tool from the page below:

Please run the tool after disconnecting the docking station, when things are in a non-working state. It will save a .ZIP file to your Desktop which can then be emailed over to support@plugable.com so we can dig in and determine what the best steps will be. (Please put “Ticket: 119461” in the subject of the email.)
