USB 3 speed

Hi, I have a plugable triple display USB c charging dock hooked up to a Microsoft laptop. Unfortunately the laptop doesn’t have a USB c port so I’ve had to buy a USB c to USB 3 adapter. Seems to work fine BUT the computer keeps telling me that my flash drives (connected to the docks USB 3 ports at the back) can operate better if plugged into a USB 3 port? Any ideas what I’m doing wrong as I’m keen to ensure USB 3 speed. Thanks

Hello Justin,

Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be happy to help.

I suspect this is because the USB-C to USB 3.0 cable/adapter you purchased may not actually support USB 3.0 transfers.

Can you link me to the make and model cable/adapter you purchased?

Thank you,
