USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter

Can one of these adapters be used to connect an older laptop with an ethernet port to
a newer laptop that has a USB 3.1 port (no ethernet port) for data transfer directly between the 2 laptops?

Hello, thank you for your question.

Yes, you can use one of our USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapters to add an Ethernet port to your newer laptop that only has USB 3.1. You’d then be able to use an Ethernet cable to connect that computer to your old computer with Ethernet built-in to connect the two computers.

Please let us know if you have any questions about this, we’re always happy to help.

Thanks!
