USB 3.0 card not working

My card is connected but it wont show in my device tab. I also installed all the latest
drivers for the card and sill nothing.
these are the specs on my computer

GA-990FXA-UD7 motherboard
radeon 6970 video card
1055t prossesor
500GB hard drive
600w power supply

Thanks for posting your question here, we’ll try and help. The Plugable PCI Express to SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Card requires a PCI-e 1X slot to work properly. The motherboard you have looks like it has two 4X slots that may work, but not guaranteed.

First make sure that you have the card in one of your PCI-e 4X slots. Are the blue lights on? Does the device show up in device manager. If you install the drivers available here:
http://plugable.com/drivers/renesas/ you should find a utility installed as well. Does the utility find the card?

Also, please include your Amazon Order Id and the serial number of your card in your reply.

The card is in a 4x slot and the blue lights do come on but the device manager and the provided utility do not find the card.

Since your card is already in the 4X slot and it’s not being recognized, I’m afraid it’s not compatible. You still have plenty of time to get a full refund from Amazon, here’s how:
