UGA-2K-A does not work. Please help.

I cannot get my new Plugable UGA-2K-A USB 2.0 video adapter to work. I’m very disappointed. I have Windows 7 64-bit. I downloaded the drivers from a link your company sent me in email.

Drivers for Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP
Download DisplayLink Driver v5.6M1

DisplayLink USB 2.0 Graphics Driver v5.6M1
Installer version 5.6M1 Date: 18 Apr 2011

I installed the file which completed and said the installation was a success. I restarted my computer when it asked me to, and the monitor does not come on. I then got a Windows warning that says my video adapter is not compatible. If I open Device Manager, the entry for USB Display Adapters --> UGA-2K-A is there and under Device Status it says “This device is working properly.”

Under Driver Version, it says “7.2.47873.0”

I have tried this multiple times, in different USB ports, etc. It simply does not work. I don’t understand the “driver is incompatible” message, yet it says it all installed correctly.

Please help. Thank you.

Let’s take a look at what on the system might be causing an issue, it would be very helpful if you could capture and send us the DisplayLink log file, it gives us detailed information on how your system is setup and helps us narrow down the problem.
