Has anyone used the UD-ULTC4K with a Lenovo X1 Carbon (5th Gen)? I will be hooking up dual monitors, even though the device is built for 3.
Although I noticed Plugable is a popular brand, I have still read reports of laptops getting fried or the display not working properly through their docks.
Since Lenovo’s own USB-C dock does not work properly with its own laptop since the Windows 10 fall update, I am forced to look elsewhere for a stable dock.

We’ve had reports from customers saying that their triple display docks have worked fine with their Carbon X1 Gen5 systems for charging and video, so we would expect this setup to work fine for you as well.
Unfortunately early docks (not this model) did have some issues, but we’ve not had any recent reports of any damage to customer systems. Customers having issues with monitors not working properly are usually issues with incompatible systems or an occasional defective dock.
Unfortunately I can’t comment to the Lenovo docks, but this is interesting information about how the Fall Update specifically seems to have been the cause of their incompatibilities.
