UD-3000 with Linux

Been looking for a docking station solution, and all the feedback on the UD-3000 would suggest it’s a good option. One problem - not compatible with Linux (at least that’s what the literature claims).

Is Linux compatibility likely anytime soon? Is this just a case of developing drivers or will it require a hardware update?

Thanks for posting your question here! Plugable UD-3000 has the DisplayLink DL-3700 chipset inside.

Currently USB 3.0 based DisplayLink chipsets do not have support for Linux and we do not expect it to be available in the near future. Sorry about that!
