I received the UD 3000 yesterday. I had loaded the driver onto my Windows 8 machine from the website, but my laptop is not recognizing the device. I tried both the usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 ports.

Could you connect the Plugable UD-3000 to the system, run the DisplayLink Support tool (instructions here: http://plugable.com/support/displayli… ) and email the resulting .zip to firstname.lastname@example.org as an attachment along with your Amazon Order ID and a link to this thread?
This would give us a better insight as to what is going on. Once we analyze the .zip, we can figure out the quickest steps to resolve the issue.
