THUNDERBOLT 3TM 480GB NVME SOLID STATE DRIVE

I am interested to know if it’s also compatible with Thunderbolt 2" and 1"; because could be interesting for my MacBook 13" retina late 2013 (which have Thunderbolt 2") and my old MacMini (which have Thunderbolt 1"). Thank you. Franco Fellico’

Hi Franco,

Thanks for the interest!

Conversion for use on Thunderbolt 2 and 1 will likely be possible using Apple’s Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter.

As we get closer to launch, we will do some testing on this to confirm how things work and post an update with our findings.

Thanks,
Gary

Hello Franco,

We’ve found that the drive is incompatible with the adapter. Both adapter and drive have male USB-C connectors with non-removable cables and cannot be plugged in to each other. At this time no one is making a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 certified coupler to resolve this.

Sorry!
