System font sizes tiny on 2nd reboot

Have been using same setup with alternative docking station which died, so ordered new UD-ULTCDL. Had to install DisplayLink drivers to get dual external monitors to work, everything was working fine. Rebooted today and system text (e.g. browser menus, icon names, explorer folder/file names) are absolutely miniscule. Resolutions and scaling for 2 external and one built in monitor have not changed for 2 years. Appears to be related to the Plugable as that’s the only item which has changed. Please advise - can’t read any of the words!

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.

I suspect that this due to Windows DPI scaling. We’ve written a blog post about it here:

https://plugable.com/2015/06/04/the-scales-of-windows-never-seem-to-balance/

We’ve also made a video here:

In short, I believe that you’ll want to adjust the scaling settings with the new dock for the monitors that are too small. Then once things look as you expect them to, try rebooting again and see if the issue is gone.

If you need any specific instructions how to adjust the DPI settings just let me know. I’ll need to know what version of Windows is on your computer

Please don’t hesitate to let us know of other questions.

Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
