Superspeed Hub 3.0 not recognized as Super speed by computer.

What do I need to do to stop my Plugable 3.0 Superspeed hub from cycling on and off while working in browser. Also, computer port message says to plug in High speed hardware into a high speed hub. Thought this was a highspeed hub.
