Sudden sharp decline in performance

Windows 8 pro, ASUS laptop i7, 8GB ram, 2 Pluggable USB 2 model UGA-165. 3 monitors - two on pluggable adapters, one on system hdmi graphics.

system was fine until a recent reboot.i did a system restore to several days ago (only one available) - no improvement.

all apps unacceptably slow on the monitors connected to pluggable, everything runs fine on the monitor connected to the onboard video card.

By slow i mean operations like dragging, typeing, resizing. I’m a professional software developer - this is a killer problem.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for posting here! I’m sorry to know about the issue you are seeing. As your system is on Windows 8, as a first step, I’d suggest installing the latest Displaylink 7.2M0 drivers as it has fixes to many known issues on Windows 8.

If you are interested, here is the link to our post with more details about this driver version : http://plugable.com/2013/04/04/displa…

Please do give it a try. If the issue persists after the installation of the Displaylink 7.2M0 drivers, please do run the DisplayLink Support tool (instructions here: http://plugable.com/support/displayli… ) on the system and email the resulting .zip to support@plugable.com along with your Amazon order ID and a link to this thread?

This would give us a better insight as to what is going on. Once we analyze it we can figure out how to resolve the issue.

Regards,
Roze
