external hard drives connected to usb-c mini docking station and a 2017 macbook pro – when I sleep the computer and then wake it later, Mac OS complains that the hard drives weren’t ejected properly.
It even complains if I eject the drives *before* sleeping the computer. I still have a bunch of “disk not ejected properly” messages when waking the computer back up.
Help? I bought this hoping to avoid this with a simple usb-c hub that I used before.
Hi Everyone,
We were able to reach out to Matt directly via email to go over some of the individual issues he was experiencing with his external HDD units.
Currently, there are a number of issues related to external hard drives being connected via USB-C hubs inside of the High Sierra operating system release. You can find some additional information directly on apples support forums here -> https://discussions.apple.com/message…
We are currently reviewing all individual items on our end to see if we can provide or suggest any individual resolutions to this problem, but currently we are awaiting Apple to make modifications to their current macOS versions in order to resolve the issue.
If anyone else is experiencing the same or similar issues, please feel free to reach out to us directly at support@plugable.com, and we would be more than happy to assist!
Thank you for your patience,
Marc
