Hello~
Looking for some guidance on what I need to purchase!
I have two Acer 23" # G236HL monitors with DVI or VGA connectivity.
I currently have one monitor hooked up to my MBP OS X 10.6.8 through a mini display port/dvi cord and would like to add the second monitor.
I already have a printer and a jump drive taking up two of three USB ports and would probably be looking at adding a USB hub as well.
Lastly, will there be issues if I take my laptop home daily? More than once a day?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Christine-
Thanks for posting with your question!
Since you’re on OS X 10.6, we would not recommend our USB Graphics devices for your MacBook; only OS X 10.7.5 and 10.8.3 are currently recommended. IF you’re able to upgrade to Lion (10.7) or Mountain Lion (10.8), the UGA-3000 would be a great choice, however this will not be usable at all unless you upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion: http://plugable.com/products/uga-3000
While an older adapter and driver for 10.6.x was available, there were unresolved issues on these versions that make us hesitant to recommend them for Mac users.
I hope this helps, please let me know of any other questions you might have!
Best wishes-

Thanks Jeff!
