Can’t get the usbc-e1000 to work with my s8. Should it work right out of the box or do I have to download drivers or change settings? Any help would be great.
Thank you for your question.
There are very few Android devices that we are aware of that work well with the USBC-E1000. However, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has been tested to work well with it.
One thing that is worth noting is that there is no guarantee that compatibility with the Galaxy S8 will be there forever. We have seen cases where support for the USBC-E1000 has been dropped in updates to other USB-C Android handsets.
On some Android devices, you need to either put the device into airplane mode, or just disable the Wi-Fi and/or Cellular radios in order for the adapter to take priority for the network connection.
Lastly, I would also try another network cable just to rule out issues with that component of the connection.
If things are still not working, please let us know and include your Android version number.
