Moving the dock between the two systems should work properly if you are using the latest version of the DisplayLink driver 7.6 M2 for the Windows XP system and 7.9 M3 for the Windows 10 system. When switching back to the XP system you will get a warning about not using the latest DisplayLink driver (screenshot below) but everything should be working as expected. Can you make sure you have those versions installed on the respective systems and try the swap again?
If that works, great! If not the next step is to have you keep the dock connected to the XP system and send the output of our PlugDebug diagnostic utility (http://plugable.com/support/plugdebug) to support@plugable.com with ‘Ticket 122626’ in the subject line so we can match everything up. If you could also include your Amazon Order ID number for the dock purchase and the dock serial number (from the bottom of the unit) that would be great.
