Hi, I would like to purchase the Plugable USB to RS-232 DB9 Serial Adapter (Prolific PL2303HX Chipset) but was wondering if it will support 921.6kbps in a Windows XP computer?

The short answer is, it should work, since the Plugable USB to RS-232 Adapter supports speeds from 75bps to 12Mbps. A lot also depends however on the device you are actually going to connect to the adapter, so you really need to try it with your own device and see.
