Plugable USB-C Docking Station - 4k HDMI stopped detecting monitor

The Docking Station worked great for 3 weeks. At first the 2K HDMI didn’t work, after installing the drivers and restarting my HP Spectre everything worked great.

Today the 4K HDMI no longer detects a signal. I tried different HDMI cords and monitors. The monitor not being detected in the 4K HDMI works on the 2K HDMI though. Ugh.

Windows sees there are three monitors and the mouse scrolls across the 4K not being detected like it’s there. I don’t see this being a Windows issue. Did the Docking Station 4K HDMI fail?

Hello Jared,

Thank you for contacting Plugable support! Sorry to hear about this issue. I’d be more than happy to assist you.

If you haven’t already done so, fully unplug the dock from all devices, power, and USB-C cable to the host computer. Wait about 30-60 seconds, then reconnect the power cable first, USB-C host cable next, and USB devices last. Sometimes a reset in this order can resolve this issue.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know of other questions.

Thanks again for contacting Plugable support and best wishes!
