Plugable USB Audio Adapter with 3.5mm Speaker/Headphone and Microphone Jacks

I have a set of digital speakers that will not play audio from my Dell PC. After checking it out it appears that the factory installed sound board is analog only. Will the Plugable USB Audio Adapter with 3.5mm Speaker/Headphone and Microphone Jacks convert sounds to digital out put?
