Plugable usb audio adapter + raspberry pi

Hi there everyone,

I was thinking about buying the usb audio adapter for my raspberry pi, but does it also amplify the sound? The 3.5 jack on the pi has a very low output, so that’s why i was wondering if this is a good alternative.
