PLugable UGA-125 USB2.0 causing windows xp start-up to loop upon restart

I just installed the UGA-125 on my HP computer with Q45/43 chipset and everything was working somewhat fine as I had my three monitors working, albeit not to my desired resolution. However, when I restarted my computer to see if the settings would work, my computer goes into a start-up loop where I log into Windows Xp and it begins to load the programs and then suddenly restarts. If I remove the USB cable for the adapter I can get the computer to work properly and then replug the adapters to get the displays correct. I am using the latest drivers that I downloaded today. Is there any reason why UGA-125 would cause a re-start loop?

If I can resolve this issue I plan on upgrading to the higher resolution adapter.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for contacting us! I understand about the resolution - let’s figure out this restart.

We should be able to see some clues in the log files for a case like this.

Could you run the DisplayLink support tool (here’s how: http://plugable.com/support/tools/dis…)

And email the .zip file it creates on your desktop to support@plugable.com ?

From that, we’ll be able to figure out next steps.

Thanks for your patience!
