plugable UD3900 not working

When I first connected both external monitors, the monitor with the DVI connection was working, but the monitor with the HDMI connection was not. Then I tried to switch connections and now neither monitor is working…help!

Thanks for posting. I’m sorry your new docking station isn’t working as expected, and I would be happy to help! I can see that you also reached out to us directly via support@plugable.com, and I have just sent a direct response. We’ll want to continue helping you directly in case we need to examine some log files, but have included the text of my response below.

"A couple of quick questions for you:

Can you confirm you are using both a standard DVI to DVI cable and HDMI to HDMI cable to connect both monitors? I ask as in some cases non-standard cables or adapters can cause problems…

Assuming that is what you are using, can you double-check that the source inputs are set correctly on both monitors using the buttons on the front, and also let me know which model monitors you are using? In some cases monitors with multiple inputs may not switch automatically.

Let us know if that helps when you have a moment and we’ll go from there.
